The Tenpin Bowling Association of Queensland Inc (TBAQ) is the licensed State Branch of Tenpin Bowling Australia Ltd, the governing body of the sport of Tenpin Bowling in Australia.
TBAQ is recognised and supported by the Queensland Government through the Department of Sport and Recreation.
The purpose of TBAQ is to develop the sport of Tenpin Bowling in Queensland at all levels in the community, by providing support and assistance to all registered members and associations through both education and opportunity, in partnership with the industry and its stakeholders utilising programs designed to improve the knowledge and performance of all participants of the sport.
TBAQ covers the entire State, providing services to over 20,000 registered members; 42 Tenpin Bowling Centres and to more than 500 schools. Our scope of business reaches from Cairns in the Far North, to Tweed Heads in the South and West to Mount Isa.
TBAQ sport services lead Australia in providing Coaching from novice to international levels; Coach training and accreditation; Tenpin Bowling Centre staff training; School teacher sport accreditation; School sport programs and interschool competition; Local government out of school care programs and a wide range of sport specific courses including lane measurement and ball drilling.
State Championships and Representative Teams are organised and managed by their respective committees, under the guidance of TBAQ.
TBAQ maintains an office in Sports House at Milton (next door to Suncorp Stadium), along with other mainstream sporting organisations.
