Tenpin Bowling is a growing sport within the sports system and is currently undertaken by many schools throughout Queensland in some form or another. Tenpin Bowling is a sport which offers many athlete pathways and the Interschool Challenge is another pathway being developed for students at your school to access. The Interschool Challenge is an extension and a viable opportunity to current school participation – Roll 'n' Strike and In Centre field trips
The Interschool Challenge is a School vs School competition based on 5 person teams (one gender or mixed). The format of the competition is head to head with a unique points scoring system. The Interschool Challenge is run in 2 parts, first schools participate in a qualifying round held in May then the top 10 schools on points or pinfall participate in a Final held in August.
Comprehensive results, points tables and individual & team score sheets are maintained for all Qualifying and Finals matches.
The Interschool Challenge is open to Schools within the following regions:
- South East Qld – Sunshine Coast to Tweed Heads
- Central Queensland - Rockhampton & Gladstone
- Widebay – Bundaberg
- North Qld – Townsville & Ayr
- Far North Queensland - Cairns Region
