Queensland Primary Schools Competition Final Results

2007 is the first year that TBAQ has given an encouragement award for the Primary division. The recipient was Joshua Herrick from Birkdale South State School, Joshua received a new bowling ball from AMF. He is shown here with State Board Member Shane Turner from AMF Bowling and Kelly Warren the State Development Officer.

The TBAQ 2007 Interschool Challenge Finals Primary Division took place on Sunday 5th August at AMF Redcliffe Bowl.  10 teams lined up over the weekend to compete against each other for school glory.

The competition was close throughout the day with positions not finalised until the last match. There were 2 outstanding highlights during Sunday’s event, Dale Lowe from Minimbah State School bowled a high game of 201 this young man is only 11. The other highlight was again from Minimbah State School bowling the highest team game of 696 the previous high team game was back in 2004 682. Congratulations to Dale and Minimbah State High School.  Final results were

7. Undurba SS                                                  37.0 points
8. Birkdale South SS                                         32.0 points
9. Caboolture East SS                                       24.0 points
10. Brighton SS                                                   22.0 points

Our Champions for 2007 are once again Minimbah State School: (Jessica Runge, Michael Bower, Lachlan Linnane, Breeanna Gardner, Kadi Bower & William O’Connell).

An All Star Team was announced, made up of the top 5 averages from the qualifying round and the finals, CONGRATULATIONS to these 5 bowlers who received a brand new bowling ball from our great sponsors AMF.
