TBAQ were active in Cairns on the week-end of the 1st and 2nd June holding a State Based Training Program for bowlers interested in improving their game and pathway bowlers wishing state, national and international opportunities in the future.  GoBowling Cairns part sponsored the event with a great turn up of 22 athletes and 3 coaches assisting CEO and State Coaching Director Gail Torrens.  A Theory session was provided covering physical fitness sport specific, technique and training fundamentals, training with purpose templates provided.  The practical component of the program was delivered on the Sunday with on lane analysis, personalised technique evaluation, Bowler ID software providing critical data of Ball speed, X and Y axis points, tilt and rotation data from each bowler who accessed the program.  Matching up within 3 shots strategy was provided and bowlers had an opportunity to work on the video material that was presented in the Theory component of the program.  TBAQ would like to thank the local Cairns Association, Go Bowling Cairns, assistant coaches for their hospitality and know that all bowlers took something away from the week-end understanding the building blocks of high performance.
