News Alert!

Hi Gail,

Hopefully this comes through ok, am doing it today as my son is going to play with my laptop and hopefully fix some issues but he said he may have to wipe everything first so thought I would do it before he gets to it.

If you could post this for bowlers please, thanks.

The 1st picture is of Nicholas Jefferson from Bundy who won the classic cup on Friday, pictured with the manager of the bowl Anthony, (sorry don’t know his last name).

2nd picture is the open team who won bronze in the open teams challenge on Wednesday 29 points, 3 points behind South Australia on 32 and 7 points behind NSW on 36. Pictured back row L to R are: Bernie Madden (Manager), David Riddle, Nathan Curd, Martyn Challinor,

Nicholas Jefferson and Kim Mogg (Coach). Front row L to R are: Karnie Taylor, Sarah Hartley and Liza Currie.

3rd picture is the participants from QLD who have made the All abilities teams to compete at Rooty Hill in the Restricted teams challenge in October. Absent is Dianne Demello from Campbelltown City Bowl, the rest as follows: back row is Nicholas Jefferson, Karnie Taylor, Nathan Curd, Julie Shaw and Martyn Challinor. Front Row is Kate Juillerat and Stephen Gourley.

The QLD Cole Cup team came 5th in a very hard fought contest that saw only 8 points from 1st to 8th, they finished on 24 points 5 points behind 1st place NSW. with only 6 players they did exceedingly well and showed great team work and sportsmanship. Myself and Christine Challinor  could not have been more proud of them, excellent team to look after.

Sarah Hartley took the female high game for the tournament with a 255 and there were numerous other medal winners from throughout QLD centres. Excellent  results for our QLD bowlers.

Kind Regards,

Beth Boyd – Qld State Disabilities Committee
