Queensland fields several State Teams which compete in Interstate Competition usually at National Championships. The Juniors have their own National Championships, as do Disabilities.

Seniors and Adults have a separate event and the Youth division have an Interstate Challenge but no Championships.

In 2006 the National Governing Body instructed TBAQ to select an official Queensland State Team, membership of which would be open to all TBA registered Queensland adult bowlers. TBAQ were also invited to select an Invitational Team with similar qualifing requirements.

In order to fulfill this TBAQ has elected where possible to hold separate roll-offs in North and South Queensland in order to minimise expense to all bowlers hoping to achieve State Team status.
