Nell Weir

Nell Weir commenced bowling in 1970 at Exhibition Bowl Brisbane. Appointed Junior Guardian and has attended every Junior Nationals since their inception. Appointed Secretary of BATBA Junior Committee for 10 years and appointed President in 1980.

Served 10 years as Secretary/Treasurer of South Queensland Junior Committee and has been Chairperson of that Committee for 13 years. Nell has also served as Co-ordinator, Team Manager and Selector of SQ Juniors for 23 years.

Nell is a past President of TBAQ having held the position for 6 years. She was inducted into this Hall of Fame when it was first introduced in 1996. She has attended Congress meetings for 20 years.

Her Tournament Administration includes:

• World Masters Games Brisbane

• Disabilities State Championships

• Queensland State Championships

• South Queensland State Championships

Nell was also jointly responsible for the introduction of the highly successful Port-A-Bowl program introduced into Primary Schools, during her term as President of TBAQ.
