Jason Belmonte Claims 32nd PBA Tour Title

Teammates Belmonte & O’Neill win 2025 PBA Doubles Championship

3 March 2025: A Year ago, Jason Belmonte and Bill O’Neill came up just short in the position round and again in the title match, losing the 2024 PBA Roth/Holman Doubles Championship to their opponents by a whisker.

This year, the longtime doubles teammates seized the top seed with an emphatic performance in the position round and sealed the deal with a decisive victory, defeating DJ Archer and Shawn Maldonado in the title match, 210-169.

Belmonte and O’Neill led the field through 36 games of qualifying and 16 games of round-robin match play on dual oil patterns.

Televised from Bowlero Vernon Hills, IL, USA on FOX SPORTS 1 the stepladder final was a thrilling finale to this highlight event on the PBA professional tour.

“To win it, you have to have two guys that are rolling it great at the same time for the whole week. “Then to finish it off, you both have to execute really well on TV. It’s not easy to find that combo all week,” Belmonte said afterwards.

“I’m extremely thrilled about reaching #32. “I have goals to reach and the only way to reach them is to keep winning. “Winning my second Doubles title with William on his Hall of Fame announcement weekend is also really special to give him the cherry on top of an already memorable weekend for him!” he added.
